Brought in to take the magazine from concept through to final design, built around documenting Mithila's cultural and artistic heritage.
The work covered creative direction, editorial structure, art curation, typography and layout, every element considered as part of a whole. The editorial arc was built to take the reader through Mithila in a way that felt coherent: its geography, its Madhubani painting tradition, its rituals and the presence of Sita not as distant mythology but as a living part of the region's identity.
The design philosophy followed the Madhubani tradition directly, its use of geometry, pattern, vibrant colour and deliberate line. The visual decisions were made to frame and amplify the art rather than impose a separate aesthetic over it. Each page was laid out as a considered composition, with enough space and structure for the content to be read properly and the art to be seen properly.
